BWFSC Open Meets
Each year we organise four Open Meets that we hope meet the competitive needs of a wide range of swimmers.
The Secondary Age Group Meet
Held over two days in mid-April, is open to all swimmers from Essex County affiliated clubs who have not achieved the County qualifying time in the event entered. Swims are over 100 and 200 meters in all strokes depending on age, and 100 meters Individual Medleys for all age groups.
The meet is closely linked with the County Championships and the age criteria is based on age at the last day of these Championships. As such, the meet is not licensed.
BWFSC End of Season Meet
Our new end of season meet held in July was a great success with an entertaining skins event enjoyed by all. We hope to run it again in 2011.
The Autumn Meet (16/17 October 2010)
This is our Level 3 County Qualifier Meet being held on 16th and 17th October 2010, entry packs are now available. Deadline date for entries is 17th September 2010....click here!!!
The Winter Meet (12th December 2010)
Another one day meet usually on the first Sunday in December and licensed at Level 3. There are races at 100 meters in all four strokes for 11 years and older girls and 12 year and older boys, and 200 meter races for younger ages groups.
This meet is also an ideal opportunity for swimmers to attain County and Regional Qualifying Times.
All of our galas are held at Waltham Forest Pool and Track, Chingford Road, Walthamstow, E17.
All events have electronic timing and the pool has seen many fine performances over the years including County and London Records.
There is a swim down facility for swimmers subject to supervsion by Coaches in the diving pit and the venue offers excellent spectator facilities.
